Our dedicated Library Officer for Young People’s Services oversees a wide range of programs and activities suitable for children of all ages.

Through Better Beginnings, we want every child to have the wonderful and very important experience of sharing books and stories with the adults in their life right from the time they are born.  Better Beginnings supports parents in reading to children so that they build the early literacy skills needed to become good readers and succeed at school.   Using the library and online resources, you will have access to books, activities and games to support your children through baby, kindergarten and pre-primary stages.

Suitable for children 0-5 years old, Storytime is held at the Library every Tuesday 10.30am to 11.30 am.  Children enjoy stories, songs, arts and crafts and games.  (School terms only).

Introduce your baby to the wonderful world of rhyme and songs together with other moms and dads.  Suitable for babies 0 – 24 months, Baby Rhyme Time is held every Wednesday 9.30am to 10.30am. (School terms only).

School going kids love exploring the world of books together with like-minded friends in the Kids Book Club held every second Tuesday of the month (check our events calendar for further information).

Reading Clubs, games, arts and crafts and competitions are held during school holidays.   Please contact the library or check the notice board for further information.
